Frequently Asked Questions

What is OEM+?

OEM+ (OEM Plus) refers to modifying a vehicle using parts from other vehicles within the same manufacturer's group, or sometimes from higher-spec models of the same car. The goal is to upgrade performance or aesthetics while maintaining a "factory" look and quality.

Examples include fitting Audi TT wheels on a VW Golf, installing BMW M3 seats in a standard 3 Series, or using Porsche brakes on an Audi.

Which cars do you support?

We currently maintain an extensive database for the UK car scene, covering:

  • Volkswagen Group (VAG): VW Golf (Mk1-Mk8), Audi A3/S3/RS3, SEAT Leon/Ibiza, Skoda Octavia/Fabia.
  • BMW: 3 Series (E30/E36/E46/E90/F30), 5 Series, 1 Series, and X-Series donor vehicles.
  • Honda: Civic (EG/EK/EP3/FN2/FK8), Integra DC2/DC5, S2000.
  • Ford: Fiesta (Mk6/Mk7/ST), Focus (ST/RS).
  • JDM Legends: Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7/MX-5, Subaru Impreza/Forester.

Don't see your car? You can still add it when submitting a new part!

How do I know if a part fits?

Each part listing includes a Difficulty rating and a section for Adjustments Required.

  • Easy: Usually a direct bolt-on or plug-and-play swap.
  • Moderate: May require minor modifications, drilling, or simple wiring adapters.
  • Hard: Requires significant fabrication, welding, or advanced coding.

Always check the comments section on the part page for real-world advice from other users who have done the mod.

How can I contribute?

OEM+ is community-driven! You can help by:

  1. Adding Parts: If you've done a mod that isn't listed, click "Add Part" to share it.
  2. Uploading Photos: Navigate to any part page and upload photos of the mod on your car to help others visualize it.
  3. Voting: Upvote parts that you know work well to verify them for the community.
  4. Commenting: Answer questions or share tips in the discussion section of any part.

Search Tips

Our search engine is smart! You can search for:

  • Chassis Codes: Try "E46", "EP3", "Mk4", or "B8" to find parts specific to that generation.
  • Part Names: Try "Brakes", "Seats", "Wheels", or "Steering Wheel".
  • Combinations: "Civic Type R Seats" or "BMW E90 Wheels".
